PfGG was launched at the 2020 UN General Assembly as an initiative to accellerate the political implementation of the SDGs through a network of parliamentary action around the world. The aim was to support legislators with network, best-practice and know-how for them to take action.

PfGG has facilitated webinars and online roundtables, trainings and expert meetings that  convenes and connects parliamentarians for SDG action. The network has supported SDG pioneers in parliaments all over the world and has worked with both national parliamentary groups/committees and individual parliamentarians.
