What we do
We work with parliamentarians and people to support broad non-partisan, cross-sectoral ownership to the 2030 Agenda.
We facilitate, connect, convene, conceptualize, co-create, scale and distribute to provide platforms for knowledge sharing and concrete tools to accelerate action.
Parliamentarians for the Global Goals
2030beyond will convene and connect parliamentarians in a global network of ‘Parliamentarians for the Global Goals’. We will identify, support and organize SDG pioneers in parliaments all over the world and act as a convener of national parliamentary groups/committees and individual parliamentarians with the purpose of:
1
Strengthening peer-to-peer learning and sharing of best practices on parliamentary work on the 2030-agenda
2
Increasing awareness among parliamentarians about the 2030-agenda
3
Supporting national and regional all-party parliamentary groups
4
Sharing and supporting policy
and campaign initiatives to
accelerate action
5
Convening the SDG Chairs Forum for Chairs of all-party parliamentary groups/caucus
6
Providing access to knowledge and tools to ensure holistic and systematic integration of the SDGs
2030 People's Festivals
Building on our experience with creating the Global Goals platform at Scandinavia’s largest democratic people’s festival ‘Folkemødet’ at Bornholm, Denmark, we facilitate the convening and co-creation of ‘2030 People’s Festivals’. As a platform for civic engagement with local pioneers from all levels of society - state, civil society and the private sector. The main features of the 3-day public festival model are:
1
Debates organised by cross-sector partnerships involving festival participants
2
Workshops and exposition of sustainable and innovative solutions to local and global challenges
3
Interactive art collecting ideas for sustainable action
4
Cultural and sports events bringing together VIPs and festival participants in informal ways to foster dialogue and unify across divides
